Delivery tracking on a live map

Follow the day on one live map: routes, stops, places, zones and the latest recorded positions, with what is late or stuck listed beside it. Today tells you on one screen whether the day is on track.

The problem

The cost of not knowing

Most delivery calls ask one question: where is my order? Without a shared view of the day, the dispatcher rings the driver, the driver stops to answer, and the answer is still a guess. Late stops surface only when a customer complains, which is the most expensive moment to find out.

Tracking earns its place when it shows progress against the plan, not only dots on a map: which stops are done, which are late and which routes have gone quiet.

How Atlas shows the day

Two sections share the job: Today answers "are we on track?", the live map answers "where is everything?".

  • One live mapIn Atlas: Live mapRoutes, stops, places, zones, the latest positions and incidents sit on one map built on OpenStreetMap data, with a list beside it. Pick a layer or focus one route; the map refreshes itself.
  • Is today on track? In Atlas: TodayToday counts routes in flight, stops done and late, open exceptions, drivers out and vehicles due for service, with a seven-day trend. Every figure is counted from your records.
  • Stop by stopIn Atlas: Routes › StopsEach stop moves from pending to arrived to done, or to failed or skipped with a reason. A retried stop counts its attempts, so a third visit shows up.
  • Location events as the recordIn Atlas: Live mapPositions, check-ins and check-outs, delays and issues are kept as location events. They can be added and read but never edited or deleted, so they stand as the record of what happened.
  • Arrival times as estimatesIn Atlas: Routes › StopsEstimated arrival times come from the planned start, straight-line distance, your road factor and average speed, and the time at each stop. Atlas labels them as estimates.

Honest limits

What tracking does not do yet

Better to read it here than to find out on a busy morning.

  • No driver app or GPS feedPositions are the location events recorded in Atlas, so a position is only as fresh as the last one recorded.
  • No customer tracking linksCustomers cannot follow their delivery yet; those pages stay switched off until they are ready.
  • No live trafficArrival times do not account for traffic, closures or the weather.

Questions about delivery tracking

Still have a question? Ask us

Where do the positions on the live map come from?

They are location events recorded in Atlas against a route, a place or a task: a position, a check-in or check-out, a delay or an issue. Atlas has no driver app or GPS tracker connection yet, so a position is as fresh as the last event recorded.

Can my customers track their delivery?

Not yet. Customer tracking links stay switched off until the tracking pages are ready, and Atlas does not send customers messages.

Can I look back at an earlier day?

Yes. The Routes list filters by day and status, so you can open any day's routes, their stops and the location events recorded on them.

Can a location event be changed later?

No. Location events can be added and read but not edited or deleted, because they are the record of the delivery.
