Pick ScreenConnect when
- You need keyboard and mouse control
- You reach endpoints with nobody at them
- You must host the service yourself
Pick ScreenConnect when you need full control, unattended access, background tools or on-premises hosting. Pick Anslation Remote when the person you help should install nothing and every session must be approved and audited.
What we say about ScreenConnect comes from its own pages, checked on 2 November 2026. Where it does more, the table says so.

Plans and features change. Check ScreenConnect’s own pages before you decide.
For view-only help, yes: in Anslation Remote the person you help shares from their desktop browser with a code. In ScreenConnect the guest runs a client.
An optional agent runs terminal commands which pass the policy check in an approved session, with the output kept in the session history. It has no screen sharing of its own.
No, Anslation runs it today. If on-premises hosting is a must, ScreenConnect offers it.
