Anslation Persona

Persona for teams. Insight without rankings.

Assign self-insight tests, follow who has started or finished, and read group patterns that appear only when enough people have results. No one is ranked.

Assign tests and missions

A mission is one test, or a ready-made template of tests, assigned to people with a due date.

  • Start from a ready-made template for a goal, or pick a single live test.
  • Follow each assignment as it moves from assigned to accepted, in progress and completed.
  • Persona home counts, by mission, invites still not accepted after a week and assignments that are past due.

Invite links

Every person gets their own invite link. Persona sends no email: you copy each link and send it yourself.

Each invite tells the person, before they accept: "The person who assigned this sees your status in Teams; any Persona manager can open your result."

  • The link opens the person's Library, shows the mission and asks them to accept before they start.
  • An invite for an email address can be accepted only by an account with that address; a link without one is taken by the first person who accepts it.
  • Each person sees only their own assignment.

Team insights, and what you will not see

Insights show how a group answered, grouped by test, without singling anyone out.

Teams shows status and group figures only. Persona managers can still open a person's own result from Data tables.

Self-insight, not a diagnosis or a hiring decision.
  • Group figures appear only when at least 5 people other than you have results.
  • Head counts are rounded down to a multiple of 5 and shown as "at least" numbers.
  • Averages use each person's latest result for a test, and a result whose top patterns are level counts as Even profile.
  • A read that sits too close to another one is held back, and Teams says why.
  • There is no ranking of people and no list of lowest scores.

Build and check in Studio

Persona managers can write their own tests in Studio and check them before anyone takes them.

  • Write questions, tie each one to a pattern, and set the bands and their words.
  • Preview a draft the way a taker sees it; preview runs are nobody's result and never count.
  • A publish checklist holds a version back while a pattern lacks bands or its bands leave a gap or overlap, consent text or safety notes are missing, there are fewer than 6 active questions, a question is not tied to a pattern, or a blocking review item is open.
  • A published version is frozen: edits go into a new version, so earlier results keep their scoring.
  • Once at least 10 people have answered every question of a pattern, Studio shows how well its questions agree.

Add a test to your site

Put a test on your own site with an embed frame and one loader script that sizes the frame to fit.

  • The embed asks a test's first questions (on a short test, all of them) and scores nothing; the scored result comes from taking the test in Persona.
  • An optional form asks for an email address and a consent tick, then shows the visitor a mini report of the answers they chose.
  • The details a visitor sends reach Persona managers only.
  • The frame can use a light, dark or automatic theme.

Questions from teams

Can managers see each person's answers?

Teams shows status and group figures only. A Persona manager can still open one person's own result, and the answers behind it, from Persona's data tables, so tell your team this before they start. The invite also says who can open a result.

Why are some team figures missing?

Group figures appear only when at least 5 people other than you have results, and a read that overlaps another too closely is held back so no one can be worked out by subtraction. Teams says why a figure is missing.

Can we use Persona to hire or promote people?

No. Persona is built for self-insight and development, and every result says so: "Self-insight, not a diagnosis or a hiring decision."

Do people need an account to take a test?

Yes, for a scored test: the result is kept for the person who took it. A test embedded on your own site needs no account, but it scores nothing: it asks the test's first questions, or all of them on a short test.

Can we write our own tests?

Yes. Studio lets Persona managers build a test, preview it, check it against the publish checklist and publish it as a version. A published version never changes: edits go into a new one.
